This afternoon, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02), a member of the House Veterans Affairs’ Committee, released the following statement regarding the appointment of Al Montoya as the new director of the White River Junction VA Medical Center. Montoya assumes the position after serving as the acting director of the Medical Center since November 2015. “I applaud the VA’s decision to appoint Al Montoya as the White River Junction VA Medical Center’s newest Director. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Al has distinguished himself as a leader throughout his many years of service with the VA in New England. I am confident that he will continue to successfully lead the Medical Center in the years to come, and I look forward to partnering with him as we pursue our shared commitment to ensuring that our veterans and their families receive the finest care. With his extensive leadership background and military experience, Al both understands and exemplifies the compassion and expertise that this position demands. I know that Director Montoya will continue to serve Granite State veterans well in this new capacity at the helm of the Medical Center.” ### |
