Last night, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) hosted her first telephone town hall of 2017. Kuster was joined by more than 9,000 constituents, who were given the opportunity to speak directly with the Congresswoman about their goals and priorities for Congress this new legislative session.

“During last night’s telephone town hall, I heard directly from my constituents about their ideas, their concerns, and the issues important in their lives,” said Congresswoman Annie Kuster. “It’s critically important to for me to hear from my constituents. We have a highly engaged citizenry in the Granite State, and these town halls give me a valuable opportunity to speak with thousands of my constituents at once and hear their thoughts and concerns. The comments and suggestions I heard are so important to informing my work in Washington. I want to thank everyone who joined the call last night, and I look forward to hosting another one in the near future.”

During the call, Congresswoman Kuster took questions from her constituents and discussed her own plans for the upcoming session, including a continued focus on creating more jobs for our workers, working to get those on the frontlines of the opioid crisis the resources they need, increasing job training and college affordability, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and supporting our nation’s veterans, among other issues. Second District residents were encouraged to join the call and share their thoughts directly with the Congresswoman. Kuster heard from Granite Staters on a variety of issues, including concerns about efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, worries about the new Trump Administration, agriculture policy, how preserve and protect Social Security, and how to get involved to make a difference.
