Concord, NH – Congresswoman Annie Kuster appeared at the Concord Feminist Health Center’s (CFHC) 40th Anniversary ceremony to commemorate the Center’s work to provide access to quality reproductive health care for women in the Concord area. During the event, Kuster thanked the staff at CFHC for the work they do for Granite State women and reaffirmed her dedication to ensuring all women get the care and services they need. “It’s great to be here today to celebrate four decades of the highest quality reproductive health care New Hampshire has to offer,” said Congresswoman Kuster. “The Concord Feminist Health Center provides compassionate, non-judgmental, and top quality medical care, testing, and counseling to young women, adults, LGBTQ individuals—anyone who wants reproductive health care in a personal, caring environment. As the Representative for New Hampshire’s 2nd District, I will continue to fight in Congress for every woman’s right to reproductive health care.” Since taking office, Kuster has worked to protect access to affordable, quality health care for both men and women. In July, she helped introduce the Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act, which would explicitly prohibit for-profit employers from using religious beliefs to deny employees coverage of contraception or any other vital health services required by federal law. Last year, Kuster cosponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would protect a woman's right to determine whether and when to bear a child or end a pregnancy by limiting restrictions on the provision of abortion services. |
