Kuster Joins Bipartisan Call for Investigations into Efforts to Undermine the U.S. Presidential Election

Congresswoman Annie Kuster (D-NH) today joined bipartisan calls for further investigations into Russian hacking during the U.S. Presidential election. The call follows recent reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin was directly involved in efforts to undermine the integrity of the U.S. Presidential election.

“I’m deeply disturbed by reports that Russian efforts to undermine the integrity of the U.S. Presidential election go to the very top of the Kremlin,” said Congresswoman Kuster. “These allegations must be fully investigated so that we know the extent to which foreign agents influenced our elections. This cannot be a partisan issue. The integrity of U.S. elections is the underpinning of our very democracy and serves as an example to fledgling democracies around the world. I urge our intelligence community to pursue every opportunity to get to the bottom of this matter and encourage the full cooperation of Congress, the Obama Administration, and the incoming Trump Administration.”
