Cannon Mountain hosts Military Appreciation Day
FRANCONIA, N.H. —
Cannon Mountain honored service members at their first Military Appreciation Day on Sunday.
Active duty, retired, reserve and veteran military members got free lift tickets as a thank you for their service.
The event was held in conjunction with the Azimuth Check Foundation, which offers injured military members year-round athletic events.
The event included a parade of flags on snow, with retired and veteran military members carrying flags from each branch of the military. Rep. Annie Kuster, D-New Hampshire, was on hand to give remarks.
Cannon Mountain officials said they plan to make this event a tradition.
