U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster, D-N.H., will announce Wednesday that she has joined a bipartisan group of House members and senators to work on finding “common ground” in Washington.

“No Labels Problem Solvers” comprises more than 75 House and Senate Democrats and Republicans “committed to meeting regularly to build trust across the aisle, find common ground, and promote a new politics of problem solving,” Kuster’s office said in an announcement.

“Granite Staters don’t expect members of Congress to agree on everything, but they do expect us to work together and put solving problems ahead of partisanship,” Kuster said in a statement.

 “From creating good, middle class jobs to making college more affordable, we know that working together is the only way to make progress as a nation. We have to be willing to reach across the aisle to find bipartisan, common sense solutions to the challenges we face.”

No Labels honorary co-chair Jon Huntsman, a former Republican presidential candidate and Utah governor, said, “By joining the Problem Solvers, Rep. Ann McLane Kuster is proving her commitment to working across the aisle to do what’s best for the country. This group is truly patriotic. Its members are putting the country first to solve problems.”

Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin, another honorary co-chair, said, “The Problem Solvers group is a big deal. They can help break the bad habits that have developed in Washington, where people have developed this attitude that you’re only worth talking to if you’re on my team – the Ds or the Rs. We’ll prove that ultimately, we’re all on the same team.”

Other Northeast lawmakers in the group are Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, and Reps. Chris Gibson, R-N.Y., and Peter Welch, D-Vt.
