(Tilton and Manchester, NH) – Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) delivered student-made holiday cards to residents of the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton and to patients at the Manchester VA Medical Center as part of her sixth annual Holiday Cards for Heroes program.

“It was wonderful to bring some holiday cheer to Granite State veterans today,” said Kuster. “The men and women who serve our nation in uniform have sacrificed so much for us. It’s great to meet with students to discuss the meaning of service and the importance of recognizing the contributions veterans have made to our state and country. These beautiful handmade cards are just one small way we can express our gratitude to New Hampshire veterans.”

Yesterday, Congresswoman Kuster visited with students at Windham Center School and New Searles School in Nashua to discuss creating cards and the importance of honoring veterans for the sacrifices they have made. Students at Fisk Elementary School, Pelham Elementary School, Groveton Elementary School and Mildred C. Lakeway Elementary School also created cards for this year’s program.
