Kuster Helps Pass Relief for FAA, Travelling Public

Reiterates call for long-term, bipartisan solution

  – Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) today issued the following statement following passage of the Reducing Flight Delays Act, legislation that gives the Department of Transportation (DOT) greater budget flexibility in order to avoid damaging furloughs for FAA employees.

“Nearly two months after the sequester’s reckless, across-the-board cuts took effect, Congress has still failed to pass a balanced plan to reduce the deficit, grow the economy, and strengthen the middle class. While this temporary fix is welcome news for travelers and air traffic controllers across the country, long-term, bipartisan action is still needed to replace the sequester and lift the threat of future air traffic disruptions.”
