CONCORD, N.H. – Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement marking the 50^th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where Dr. Martin Luther King delivered his historic “I Have a Dream” speech.

“Today, we celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. King’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech – a historic and inspiring moment in our nation’s journey toward justice and equality for all. In the half-century since, we have made great strides as a nation, but Dr. King’s dream has yet to be fully realized. On this anniversary, let us take measure of the progress we’ve made, rededicate ourselves to the unfinished work ahead, and continue striving forward until America fully lives up to its founding promise and ideals.”
