NASHUA, N.H. – Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement after the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it will delay the scheduled closure of all 149 federal contract control towers, including the tower at Nashua Airport. “I’m pleased that the FAA has decided to grant a temporary reprieve to Nashua Airport’s control tower and others across the country that were previously slated for closure on Sunday. While this is a positive development, Congress still needs to do its job and pass a thoughtful, balanced plan to cut spending that will lift the threat of a future tower closure. As Congress works toward that type of responsible compromise, I will continue to partner with Mayor Lozeau and New Hampshire’s entire delegation to fight to keep the control tower open in the future.” ### Press Contact: |
