Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on reports that President Trump will impose the domestic gag rule on the Title X family planning program, restricting women’s access to comprehensive healthcare services.

“Women across the country should have access to a full range of healthcare services,” said Kuster. “The Trump Administration’s decision to impose the domestic gag rule on Title X will jeopardize the ability of women and their doctors to even discuss some options as they consider care. This is just the latest attempt, driven by partisan ideology, to restrict women’s access to comprehensive healthcare services and is completely unacceptable.”

Kuster joined a group of Representatives in sending a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, expressing support for the Title X program and strong opposition to reinstating the domestic gag rule to hamper women’s access to critical healthcare.
