Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) today released the following statement after the U.S. Senate passed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), legislation that would help eliminate workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Kuster is an original cosponsor of ENDA.

“Now that the Senate has passed ENDA with bipartisan support, the House should immediately follow suit and do the same. No one should ever fear being fired from their job or harassed in the workplace because of who they are or who they love – period. As a proud original cosponsor of this vital legislation, I am hopeful that the House will finally pass ENDA and reaffirm one of our nation’s bedrock principles: that every American deserves equal treatment under the law.”
