Kuster Statement on the More than 100,000 Americans Who Have Died as a Result of COVID-19

Today, Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) issued the following statement following the death toll of the COVID-19 pandemic which has surpassed 100,000 in the United States:

“Our hearts are heavy as the COVID-19 death toll in the United States surpasses 100,000. As we grieve this enormous loss, we must continue to do everything that we can to prevent the spread of this virus and save lives. Each life lost is tragic and my heart mourns for families whose loved ones have died from complications due to COVID-19.

“As we continue to reopen our economy, we must take precautions to prevent the spread of this virus including physical distancing, frequent handwashing, and wearing masks when we cannot maintain six feet between ourselves and others. In New Hampshire, I am thankful that the number of new COVID-19 cases continues to decrease – we must work together to prevent a spike in cases to save lives and ensure that our economy can safely reopen and stay open. I will continue working to ensure that our state has the resources it needs to get through this health and economic crisis.”
