Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on the resignation of Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt. Kuster helped to introduce a resolution earlier this year calling for Pruitt’s resignation.

“Scott Pruitt repeatedly undermined the trust of the American people by abusing his position as Administrator of the EPA,” said Kuster. “Pruitt put the best interests of his friends and cronies in the oil and gas industries ahead of the health and wellbeing of the American people. The Administrator of the EPA plays a critical role in protecting families in the Granite State and across the country and I’m glad Mr. Pruitt has stepped down. I urge the President to nominate a replacement who will in good faith work to protect our air, land, and water for our children and future generations.”
