Kuster Votes No on Bill to Protect Big Banks Over Consumers

Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on her vote this evening in opposition to legislation that prevents the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from protecting consumers from forced arbitration contracts:

"Consumers are already at a disadvantage when dealing with large billion dollar banking institutions. We can certainly improve regulations to ease red tape for small local banks and credit unions but we shouldn't prevent the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from taking action to protect consumers against bad actors. I’m disappointed that this evening House Republicans chose to defend big banks over consumers in the Granite State and across the country."
