Rep. Kuster Votes to Permanently Reauthorize September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act

Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) voted in favor of H.R. 1327, the “Never Forget the Heroes: James Zadroga, Ray Pfeifer, and Luis Alverez Permanent Reauthorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act,” which passed the House. Kuster is a cosponsor of the legislation, which will extend the Victim Compensation Fund until 2092, reverse all cuts in compensation for both current and future claims, and provide 9/11 first responders, survivors and families with financial security and support.

“On one of the darkest days in our nation’s history, first responders ran into harm’s way and put their own lives on the line to help others,” said Congresswoman Kuster. “Many of these men and women are still suffering the physical consequences of their service. It is unthinkable that we would abandon them in their time of need. This legislation fulfills our responsibility to these brave Americans and their families by providing them with the security and support they deserve – I hope that the Senate will pass it quickly.”
