(Concord, NH) – Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on President Trump’s replacement of the Clean Power Plan:

“In New Hampshire and New England, we’ve made tremendous strides in reducing harmful emissions that impact the quality of our air, land, and water,” said Kuster. “Unfortunately, our region and the health of our families and communities are impacted by the emissions of coal plants in the Midwest and other states. That’s why it’s so important that we have strong protections in place that ensure New Hampshire’s air quality isn’t harmed by energy producers hundreds and thousands of miles away. I’m outraged but not surprised that the Trump Administration is rolling back important protections for public health and our climate for the benefit of a few large corporate special interests. I will continue to fight to defend our environment in New Hampshire to protect public health and our economy.”
