In Peterborough, Kuster Discusses Efforts to Improve Health Care Delivery

Peterborough, NH – Yesterday, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) toured Monadnock Community Hospital and met with hospital leadership to discuss efforts to improve health care delivery for local residents. The visit was part of Kuster’s health care listening tour, which she launched in February. As a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Kuster has been highlighting the perspectives of people in New Hampshire as she works to lower costs and increase access to health care.

“I deeply appreciated the opportunity to meet with leadership at Monadnock Community Hospital about their work to remove barriers to substance misuse treatment and expand health services in rural areas,” said Kuster. “Monadnock Community Hospital plays an essential role in providing care to the surrounding communities, and we had a productive conversation about the challenges they face in the region including an increasing need for substance misuse treatment and workforce shortages. I look forward to bringing their insights back to Washington as I work with my colleagues to ensure Americans have access to the quality, affordable health care they need.”

"Monadnock Community Hospital was honored by Congresswoman Kuster's visit today.  We appreciated hearing about opportunities for Federal support in the areas of workforce, substance misuse, and transportation.  MCH is grateful for Congresswoman Kuster's support and annual visits to hospitals in her district," said Laura Gingras, Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Relations.
