Kuster Announces Co-Sponsorship of VA MISSION Act

**Bipartisan legislation will reauthorize and reform the VA Choice Program**

**Includes strengthened language to support New Hampshire veterans**

Today Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02), the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, announced her co-sponsorship of the Maintaining Internal Systems and Strengthening Integrated Outside Networks “MISSION” Act, bipartisan legislation that will reauthorize and improve the VA Choice Program and enhance community care programs within the VA. The VA MISSION Act expands access to community care for veterans in New Hampshire through a provision advocated for by Kuster.

“I’m proud to back this critical legislation to improve access to quality healthcare and services for veterans in New Hampshire and across the country,” said Kuster. “We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the men and women who have served in uniform and these reforms are necessary to providing veterans with the access to the healthcare they deserve. We’ve worked together across the aisle to create a bill that does right by our veterans and importantly addresses challenges in access to care for Granite State veterans. Veterans in New Hampshire face unique obstacles in accessing care and I believe this legislation will be an important step towards ensuring that options exist for veterans within their communities.”
