Kuster Attends Signing of VA MISSION Act

Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02), the Ranking Member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, joined members of the VA Committee at the White House for the signing of the VA MISSION Act by President Trump. Kuster was one of just two House Democrats to co-sponsor the VA MISSION Act, which provides special eligibility for community care to veterans in a state without a full-service VA hospital, like New Hampshire, through a provision fought for by Kuster.

“I’m pleased that today the VA MISSION Act has been signed into law, expanding access to services for veterans across New Hampshire,” said Kuster. “Veterans in New Hampshire face unique challenges in access to care and this bill will increase the number of veterans who are able to receive care in their community through the Choice Program. Support for our veterans is not a partisan issue and I’m glad that we were able to work together on the VA Committee to advance this legislation that will improve services at the VA for the men and women who have served our nation in uniform. As we move forward, I will work to advance dedicated funding to bolster the important reforms in the VA MISSION Act and continue to advocate on behalf of Granite State veterans.”
