No Granite Stater should ever feel unsafe or threatened while practicing their faith or volunteering in their community.

New Hampshire’s non-profit organizations and houses of worship are essential parts of our communities—Granite Staters shouldn’t have to worry about their safety when volunteering or visiting these spaces.

This week, I was pleased to join the rest of the delegation in welcoming resources made available through the Nonprofit Security Grant Program to our state to help ensure these vital spaces can operate safely and securely, free from threats or acts of violence.

We need to use every tool available to combat the substance use disorder epidemic.

Telehealth prescribing has played a critical role in expanding access to substance use disorder treatments like buprenorphine, which can help safely treat opioid use disorder—especially for patients in rural communities who face barriers to receiving in-person care.

This week, I was proud to lead my colleagues in sending a bipartisan letter to the Biden Administration urging the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to preserve prescribing flexibilities so that patients can continue accessing the treatments and services they need to recover. At a time when overdose deaths are finally falling, it’s essential we keep our foot on the gas peddle and harness this momentum.

We must take meaningful action to ensure child care is accessible and affordable for all families, regardless of where they live.

Parents rely on child care so they can go to work while ensuring their kids have a safe place to learn and grow—but for far too many families in New Hampshire and across the country, child care is unaffordable or inaccessible.

This week, federal child care funding made available through the American Rescue Plan Act expired. I joined my Democratic Caucus Chairs in urging Republicans to work in a bipartisan manner to restore this critical funding before this crisis worsens.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month: In 2024, an estimated 310,720 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s so important to have screenings performed annually, which are available at no cost for women over 40 under most insurance plans.

I will always advocate for increased research funding, more affordable treatment, and support for survivors.
