Congresswoman Ann McLane Kuster

Representing the 2nd District of New Hampshire

Veterans History Project

Veterans History Project

The brave men and women who have served our nation in uniform have sacrificed so much, and there’s no better way to learn about those sacrifices and what it’s like to serve than listening to the stories of veterans.

How to Participate:

The mission of the Veterans History Project is to collect and preserve those stories and make them accessible so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war. Participation in the VHP will contribute to the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, one of the world’s most respected research and cultural institutions.

Interested veterans should contact Melanie Spears at (603) 226-1002 or Melanie.Spears@mail.house.gov

About the Veterans History Project:

The United States Congress created the Veterans History Project in 2000. The authorizing legislation (Public Law 106-380) sponsored by U.S. Representatives Ron Kind, Amo Houghton and Steny Hoyer and U.S. Senators Max Cleland and Chuck Hagel, received unanimous support and was signed into law by President Bill Clinton on October 27, 2000.
