Here in New Hampshire, the holidays are an opportunity to reflect on the past year and how each of us can give back to our communities and those in need. They're also a time to thank all of the first responders, service members, and health care providers who are spending the holidays away from their friends and families to keep us, our communities, and our country safe. Thank you for your service!

Giving Back with Harbor Care

Thank you to the incredible team at Harbor Care and Alex Ray, owner of The Common Man restaurants, for making this celebration possible!

This week, it was wonderful to help celebrate Thanksgiving by volunteering at the 21st Annual Thanksgiving Community Celebration at Harbor Care in Nashua. I’m so grateful to the staff and volunteers at Harbor Care—and Alex Ray, the owner of The Common Man restaurants—for donating the meals and going above and beyond to organize this special tradition.

The team at Harbor Care and the dozens of dedicated volunteers embody the values that make New Hampshire such a wonderful place to call home. This year, we were able to provide a safe and welcoming place for more than 300 guests to celebrate the holidays together. Thank you again to everyone who made this annual celebration so special!

Preserving New Hampshire's Environment

I've had a deep-rooted love of nature and the environment ever since I was little.

New Hampshire is home to the most beautiful land and outdoor recreation in the country—we all have a responsibility to protect and preserve our environment for future generations to cherish and enjoy.

This week, I was honored to be recognized by the New Hampshire Forest Society for my work in Congress to preserve the natural beauty that makes New Hampshire such a wonderful place to live and raise a family—from successfully advocating against the Kinder Morgan pipeline in 2015 to my work on the Energy and Commerce Committee expanding access to clean, renewable energy and protecting our environment from the worst impacts of climate change.

Strengthening Our National Security and New Hampshire's Economy

I look forward to seeing the positive impact these investments will have on New Hampshire in the years to come!

The bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act continues to deliver for New Hampshire and our economy—positioning our state as a leader in manufacturing advanced technologies that support our national security and reduce our reliance on international supply chains.

Also this week, I was thrilled to join the delegation in welcoming historic federal funding to help BAE Systems modernize its microelectronics center in Nashua. These investments will bolster our national defense and equip Granite Staters with the in-demand skills they need to succeed in the 21st-century economy.

Thanksgiving Leftovers: Did you know that Thanksgiving leftovers are only good for 3-4 days in the refrigerator? If you’d like to hang onto them for longer, leftovers can be frozen and eaten within 3-4 months!

NH Energy Assitance Program: Every year, the New Hampshire Fuel Assistance Program (FAP) helps families stay safe and warm during the cold winter months. Applications for this critical program open this Sunday, December 1, 2024.
