July 22, 2023 Dear Friends,This week, Congress has its eyes on the sky to strengthen our nation’s aviation system! As we worked to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration — the organization responsible for regulating aircraft — it was wonderful to discuss the importance of increasing safety and to highlight New Hampshire’s own Manchester-Boston Regional Airport for being voted the #1 domestic airport in the country!

This week, Congress has its eyes on the sky to strengthen our nation’s aviation system!
I will always fight to strengthen American industry at home and across the globe.
I was proud to vote with my colleagues from both sides of the aisle to strengthen our aviation system by:
✈️Investing in airline safety
📈Ensuring American competitiveness
From protecting families as they travel to strengthening our aviation workforce, I will continue fighting for our American air travel industry.
Building on Our Economic Progress
I will continue working to lower costs across the board for New Hampshire families.
Earlier this week, I was proud to help unveil the New Democrat Coalition’s Economic Opportunity Agenda, a comprehensive roadmap to build on the progress we have made to lower costs, fight inflation, and grow our economy from the middle out and the bottom up.
We have made tremendous progress in strengthening our economy – with inflation slowing to the lowest levels in two years in June – but more work remains to ensure everyone feels the impact of this work. That’s what this agenda seeks to accomplish, and that’s what I will keep fighting for in Congress.
From expanding access to treatment to stopping the flow of dangerous drugs into our communities, I am fighting to combat the addiction crisis.
This week, my bipartisan legislation to address the addiction and mental health crisis passed a key committee and is now heading to the House floor!
Every life lost to substance use disorder is a tragedy – we have taken great strides to address this epidemic, but more work remains.
I am proud to lead the reauthorization of the SUPPORT Act, a bipartisan opportunity for Congress to expand access to treatment and recovery programs, strengthen the mental health and substance use disorder workforce, update our response to the fentanyl crisis, and much more.
Emergency Flooding Resources: As communities in New Hampshire and across New England experienced historic flooding this month, and while our brave first responders continue to assess the damage, I wanted to make sure you and your loved ones have access to local and state resources to respond and recover:
To receive public safety notices issued by the State of New Hampshire and severe weather warnings, sign up for NH Alerts.
Do you have property damage from the flooding? Contact 2-1-1 so their staff can collect your information and damage details to help identify needs across the state. It is also important for you to reach out directly to your insurance company for assistance.
I am proud to advocate for New Hampshire workers.
