Hello Friends,

This week, I was traveling across the North Country, meeting with local leaders, business owners, and community members to discuss health care access, local agriculture, workforce development, clean energy production, and more.

I will always fight to deliver for our communities.

Also this week, I was proud to help announce funding for 25 economic development projects – including 19 in the Second District – heading to New Hampshire.

I am thrilled to see these federal resources heading to projects across our state to expand access to affordable housing, connect families with quality health care, and more!

The Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) is a key partner in lifting up our economy and rural communities, and I am proud to advocate for it in Congress.

Touring the Expanded Coos County Family Health Center

Thank you to the leadership of Coos County Family Health Services for meeting with me to discuss their operations and how Congress can continue to support their work.

Community Health Centers like Coos County Family Health Services play a vital role in our health care system, especially for our rural communities.

It was wonderful to tour the newly expanded Pleasant Street health center in Berlin – which I was proud to advocate for – and hear updates about their important work. From family planning services to infant care and domestic violence support, this new facility will help expand health care access and lift up families across Coos County.

Visiting North Country Growers

It was an amazing experience to see this 8-acre greenhouse facility in Berlin!

Thank you to the growers and local leaders who met with me and USDA Rural Development this week at North Country Growers in Berlin – an 8-acre greenhouse facility focused on expanding access to local-grown produce in the Northeast – to discuss the importance of locally sourced food.

Local agriculture supports our economy and increases access to fresh food — a win-win for New Hampshire. I look forward to bringing our conversations back to Congress as we consider the Farm Bill!

Discussing Mobile Health Care with Weeks Medical Center

I will continue fighting to ensure everyone can access the health care they need.

When our rural communities can get the health care they need without traveling hours to see a doctor, our entire health care system feels the benefits.

This week in Lancaster, I spoke with health care workers from Weeks Medical Center about their experience caring for patients at home as part of their mobile integrated health care (MIH) initiative. This new program is a creative partnership between the hospital and Lancaster Fire Department that brings quality care to patients from the comfort of their homes across the North Country.

This model is a game-changer for our state, and I look forward to seeing its positive impact on New Hampshire!

Highlighting Workforce Development with White Mountains Community College

By investing in our workforce, we can build a stronger economic future for New Hampshire.

New Hampshire has the lowest unemployment rate in the country, and employers are still struggling to hire the people they need. I’m focused on investing in the next generation of workers.

It was wonderful to tour White Mountains Community College’s new Advanced Technology Building and hear about their workforce development programs to help students break into exciting career paths after they graduate.

By bridging the gap between employers and graduating students, we can get more people into their dream jobs faster and help businesses succeed – that’s what I’m fighting for in Congress.

Focusing on Solar Energy, Housing Development in Bethlehem

It’s wonderful to see Bethlehem taking full advantage of renewable energy to power schools, libraries, and more.

Renewable energy is a low-cost energy alternative and plays a critical role in our grid – the more we take advantage of it, the more benefits our communities feel.

It was great to be in Bethlehem this week to see how local leaders are utilizing federal resources to produce more lower-cost, renewable energy for the town and its residents!

I will continue fighting to expand domestic energy production to lower costs and build a more sustainable, resilient energy grid across New Hampshire.
