This week, I was proud to work with both Republicans and Democrats to take sweeping action to protect our children from exploitation online and defend women’s fundamental right to contraception. 

This week, I proudly voted to protect access to contraception across the country.

There are countless reasons for patients to need access to contraception — these reasons are nuanced, complicated, and none of the government’s business. But, ongoing attacks on women’s freedom make clear that Congress must take action to protect our most basic right to medical care and contraceptives.

I was proud to vote for legislation this week to protect women’s fundamental right to contraception here in New Hampshire and across the country and I urge the Senate to quickly move to pass this bill.

We must take every step possible to keep our kids safe.

This week, I introduced a bipartisan amendment to protect Granite State kids from exploitation online and help child protection organizations and law enforcement officers to protect missing and victimized children.

As we work to protect personal privacy and ensure Granite Staters are not being taken advantage of online, we must also ensure that the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children can continue its mission of protecting children.

I will continue working to keep kids in New Hampshire and across the country safe.

This amendment was included in a major government funding bill and will direct $5,000,000 to the Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Program.

This week, I helped lead the House in passing a bipartisan amendment to protect our New Hampshire veterans’ rural health care clinics and support homeless veterans as they find housing.

Earlier this year, I helped to save the Littleton VA clinic after a federal commission recommended its closure. Without these clinics, veterans in the North Country would face tremendous gaps in access to care.

I will continue standing up for the brave men and women who served our country in uniform and ensure they receive the high-quality care and services they have earned and deserve.

Every person deserves to marry who they love – I will continue working to ensure that remains the case.

This week, I was proud to vote for legislation to ensure strong federal protections for marriage equality, even if the Supreme Court overturns the precedent of Obergefell v. Hodges.

It is past time we enshrine the right of every American to marry who they love. I urge the Senate to take immediate action to get this legislation over the finish line.

I was proud to help establish this program to ensure those who need support can access it.

The new nationwide 9-8-8 hotline offers 24/7 immediate and tailored assistance for those experiencing mental health and substance use crises. This new system connects callers with the closest crisis center for their area code to provide the best local support possible.
