Kuster Statement on $625 Million in Federal Funds to State of New Hampshire to Combat COVID-19 Crisis

Today, Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on the announcement that New Hampshire received the first half of the $1.25 billion included in the CARES Act. The bipartisan CARES Act was signed into law at the end of March and included $150 billion in direct support to state and local governments to confront the COVID-19 crisis.

“This federal funding through the bipartisan CARES Act will provide much-needed support to New Hampshire as our state continues to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Kuster. “We owe a debt of gratitude to our first responders, health care providers, essential workers, and all who are on the frontlines as we work to slow the spread of this virus – these federal dollars will help to ensure that they have the resources and support they need to continue responding to this emergency. This funding will bolster support for Granite State workers, small businesses, and families as we respond to this public health and economic crisis. I will continue to work with the Governor, the Congressional Delegation, and in Congress to secure the funding and resources our state needs to get through this.”
