Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on the indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officials for hacking into the DNC email servers in 2016:

“These indictments underscore the serious threat that Russian hacking poses to our democracy. The Intelligence community is clear in its assessment that the Russians attempted to interfere in the 2016 elections. Holding accountable those responsible for this hacking is an important step toward safeguarding future elections from foreign interference. I’ve been deeply concerned by partisan attacks against Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation. These indictments are another clear indication that Mr. Mueller’s investigation should be allowed to reach its conclusions so that we can have a full picture of what happened in 2016 and better safeguard our democratic processes in future elections.”
