Annie Kuster, D-N.H., on Monday introduced legislation to extend and expand the State’s Trade and Export Promotion program (STEP), which has helped dozens of Granite State companies expand their exports and create jobs. “Since its inception, the STEP program has helped companies in New Hampshire and around the country grow and send their products all around the world. Extending and expanding this program will help even more Granite State businesses export their goods, create middle class jobs and grow our economy,” Kuster said.

"How is this even safe at night?" she asked city officials. Local drivers know to be careful, they told her. But more importantly, they said the deteriorating bridge is a public safety hazard, and not just at night.

Keene Sentinel: Kuster learns effect of budgets cuts on local Head Start

Kuster was in Keene Tuesday to hear how local Head State programs are faring with across-the-board federal budget cuts, called “sequestration,” that took effect in March. Head Start is a federal program that provides free preschool services to 3- to 5-year-olds from low-income families, and offers education, health, nutrition and social services.

U.S. Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) held a 3-day "North Country Listening Tour" last week, visiting various facilities focusing on economic development and providing access to affordable health care to veterans, seniors and families across the region. Kuster visited facilities in Gorham, Berlin, Colebrook, Lancaster and Littleton, ending in Bethlehem, at the site of her new North Country office.
