Supporting Manufacturing right here in the Granite State
Washington, DC,
October 16, 2014
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Last week, I spoke at a celebration of OSRAM Sylvania’s new manufacturing project at their facility in Hillsborough. Earlier this week, I attended an event to commemorate the launching of the Eleanor’s Hope initiative by the National Committee to Protect Social Security and Medicare, which is designed to support economic opportunity and retirement security for women. I also spoke at an event held by New Futures to honor leaders in the prevention and treatment of substance abuse. Celebrating an Advanced Manufacturer in Hillsborough Advocating for Women's Equality and Social Security On Wednesday in Nashua, I was thrilled to join in launching Eleanor’s Hope in New Hampshire. It’s an initiative of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare to build awareness and support for women’s economic security in retirement. Since I first took office, I have been committed to fighting to preserve Social Security and Medicare for Granite State seniors, as well as equal rights and equal pay for women, and I look forward to continuing this work alongside Eleanor’s Hope. Alcohol and substance abuse is a serious problem facing the Granite State, and its eradication will take the work of all of us and many more. We need to treat more people suffering from substance abuse disorders, and we need to prevent alcohol and substance dependence and misuse at an early stage. Helping Granite Staters Thanks for everything you do to make New Hampshire such a special place to live! |
