Kuster Statement on Court Injunction Against Trump Administration’s Domestic Gag Rule

(Concord, NH) - Today Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on a preliminary injunction that blocks the Trump Administration’s domestic gag rule on the Title X family planning program by United States District Court for the District of Oregon. The Administration’s proposed rule would restrict women’s access to comprehensive healthcare services. Kuster has been a vocal opponent of the rule and previously wrote to Secretary Azar and Congressional leadership in opposition to the proposed changes to Title X. She recently joined with Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Congressman Chris Pappas (NH-01) and Planned Parenthood President Dr. Leana Wen to decry the proposed rule.

“This court decision is important to protect access to comprehensive healthcare service for low income women and families in New Hampshire and across the country,” said Kuster. “The Trump Administration’s proposed rule to impose a domestic gag rule on the Title X family planning program is a partisan attack on women’s reproductive rights. I will continue to fight this proposed rule and advocate for full access to healthcare for all women and their families.”
