Kuster Statement on Allegations of Sexual Harassment Against Rep. John Conyers

(Concord, NH) – Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02), the co-founder and co-chair of the Bipartisan Task Force to End Sexual Violence and an original co-sponsor of the Member and Employee Training and Oversight On (ME TOO) Congress Act, released the following statement on the allegations of sexual harassment made against Representative John Conyers:

“The reported behavior by Mr. Conyers is completely unacceptable,” said Congresswoman Kuster. “I support a thorough Ethics investigation into the very serious allegations. We need to build on the national dialogue taking place and work to improve protections for people in workplaces across the country, on college campuses, in our military, and throughout our communities. That’s why we need to pass the Me Too Congress Act. As countless survivors of sexual violence and harassment stand up to say ‘no more’, it’s critical Congress is not shielded from this watershed moment.”
