Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02), founding co-chair of the Bipartisan Opioid Task Force, issued the following statement after a judge found Johnson & Johnson responsible for fueling Oklahoma’s opioid crisis:

“Today, a court ruled that a major drug maker is responsible for fueling the opioid crisis in Oklahoma. This ruling is a positive sign for the many states – including New Hampshire – that are also working to hold drug manufacturers accountable for their role in our nation’s opioid epidemic. We must hold pharmaceutical companies responsible for their role in marketing and encouraging high rates of opioid prescribing, leading to devastating effects on families and communities across our nation.”
