**Justice Brown Jackson will be the first Black woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court**

Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court:

“Government should look like the America it represents, and the Senate’s vote today to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as our nation’s first Black woman Supreme Court Justice reflects the tremendous progress our country has made. Judge Jackson’s record speaks for itself – an experienced jurist, she has the knowledge, background, and perspective to resolve some of the most pressing judicial questions of our time as a Supreme Court Associate Justice.”
