“American workers are the backbone of our nation. On Labor Day, we recognize the incredible contributions of the American labor movement. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, workers in New Hampshire and across the country have better protections and benefits. While we celebrate these important accomplishments — such as the 40 hour work week, child labor laws, and workplace safety standards — we must redouble our commitment to defending the progress that workers have made and stand strong against efforts to undermine these critical protections. Today, and every day, we must commit to investing in the well-being and future of all workers.”
