Kuster Statement Ahead of 21st Anniversary of September 11th Attacks

Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement ahead of the 21st anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks:

“The despicable terrorist attacks that took place at the World Trade Center in New York, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania twenty-one years ago shocked and devastated our nation. We all remember where we were that day when our nation was forever changed, and we will never forget the nearly 3,000 lives lost, all those who were injured, and the brave first responders and bystanders who risked their lives to help others.

“On this solemn anniversary, we reflect on the lives lost and the incredible acts of courage and bravery of countless people on that horrific day and the days, weeks, months, and years that followed. Even in the depths of darkness, America came together and stood united against evil.

“This is a painful day for the families who lost loved ones, the first responders who forever live with the health effects of their brave actions that day, and the courageous men and women who answered the call of duty to serve our nation following the attacks, including thousands of servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice. We will never forget, and we will continue to stand against terrorism in all forms. I encourage all Americans to take this opportunity to honor and remember those we lost and reflect on the patriotism and resiliency of our great nation.”
