Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) joined a ribbon cutting ceremony at Claremont Municipal Airport alongside Claremont Mayor Dale Girard, Fire Chief/Municipal Airport-CNH Manager Bryan Burr, and town officials to celebrate recently completed upgrades to the airport. These projects were supported through federal funding, including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

“The Claremont Municipal Airport is an important asset for the city of Claremont and the region. I was thrilled to help celebrate these exciting new upgrades to our local transportation infrastructure,” said Rep. Kuster. “These recently-completed projects were supported by federal investments and will improve the safety, efficiency, and operations at the airport. Thank you to Mayor Girard, Chief Burr, and all who made today’s event possible. I will continue working to deliver federal resources to bolster our economy and improve the lives of Granite Staters.”

“The City of Claremont was pleased to honor Congresswoman Kuster’s work in Washington with today’s ribbon cutting ceremony,” said Claremont Mayor Dale Girard. ”She witnessed firsthand the impact of her support of funding FAA projects. We are so grateful to have had her join us and to be able to show off our beautiful airport.”

In May 2019, Kuster joined the New Hampshire Congressional Delegation in announcing $700,000 in federal funding for the Claremont Airport through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). The following November, Kuster helped to announce an additional $3 million federal grant through the AIP. Late last year, Kuster and the Delegation announced $159,000 in funds for the airport made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Over the past few years, $6.8 million has been invested in airport improvements. The projects include a new terminal building, a runway reconstruction project, and other important safety upgrades.
