Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) reiterated her strong support for Israel, the Jewish community, and the peaceful March for Israel in Washington, D.C., which more than 200,000 people attended. Yesterday, ahead of the march, Kuster met with Rabbi Jon Spira-Savett of Nashua and a group of Jewish Granite Staters to discuss the ongoing violence in the Middle East, its impact on their communities, and America’s unwavering support for Israel. Since Hamas’ horrific attack on October 7, 2023, killing more than 1,200 innocent Israeli women, children, and seniors, Kuster has been an outspoken advocate for unified American support for Israel.

“The brutality and violence unleashed by Hamas terrorists against innocent Israeli citizens on October 7 and in the weeks since is beyond devastating – it’s sickening,” said Kuster. “My heart is with the Jewish community in New Hampshire and all around the world as the pain of this crisis continues and is made worse by the antisemitism that has skyrocketed since. As the world continues to bear witness to Hamas’ horrific war, we must be fierce advocates for our Jewish friends, neighbors, and loved ones.”

“As cases of antisemitism, hate, and violence rise on college campuses and across the country, we must be active in our condemnation of offensive and inflammatory language, including ‘from the river to the sea,’ which has been widely used to incite violence against the Jewish community. We cannot and will not tolerate that kind of hate,” Kuster continued. “I am proud to stand with Israel, and I will continue pushing to deliver critical aid to our allies and civilians, ensure the safe release of all hostages, and combat antisemitism and bigotry. Thank you to Rabbi Spira-Savett and the Granite Staters who met with me to share how painful this crisis is and how we can best support them.”

Kuster is an outspoken ally for standing with Israel as it defends itself from Hamas terrorists. She condemns hateful, inflammatory rhetoric that has led to increased violence, intimidation, and abuse toward Jewish people in America and around the world. She endorsed the Biden administration’s $106 billion supplemental request, which will provide approximately $14 billion to support Israel, $60 billion in funding to support Ukraine, and $10 billion in humanitarian assistance for civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, and elsewhere.
