Concord, N.H. — Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement after reports that a peace agreement in Israel and Gaza could be reached in the coming days under President Biden's leadership.

“I am encouraged by reports that a ceasefire agreement in Israel and Gaza could be met in the coming days. Since Hamas’ brutal terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, the world has witnessed a horrific and heartbreaking loss of human life in the region. The United States must demonstrate strong leadership and help broker a deal to ensure long-term peace in Israel and Gaza.

“I urge both sides to remain at the negotiating table until a ceasefire agreement is reached, and I encourage the peace negotiators to work quickly to ensure the safe release of all hostages, deliver critical humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza, and chart a path toward stability and freedom in the region for both the Israeli and Palestinian people.”
