Pledges to work with both parties to support private sector job creation

Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) today announced that she has been appointed to the House Small Business Committee.

Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) today announced that she has been appointed to the House Small Business Committee.

“As our economy continues to recover, we need to be doing everything we can to support the growth and creation of small businesses,” said Kuster. “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, accounting for over 96 percent of employers in New Hampshire and creating more than two thirds of all new jobs nationwide. As a member of the Small Business Committee, I’m eager to partner with members of both parties to increase access to financing for entrepreneurs, cut red tape and overly-burdensome regulations, and streamline federal programs and agencies that support businesses.”

The Small Business Committee has jurisdiction over matters related to small business financial aid, regulatory flexibility, and paperwork reduction. It also has oversight and legislative authority over the Small Business Administration (SBA) and its programs.

In addition to the Small Business Committee, Kuster also serves on the Vetarans’ Affairs and Agriculture Committees.
