Women veterans are the fastest-growing group of veterans receiving care at the VA—it’s essential they can access the services and support they need to thrive when they return to civilian life.
This week, the Manchester VA held a ceremony celebrating the groundbreaking of its new Women Veterans Health Clinic, which I have long advocated for. In 2017, I sent a letter to New Hampshire VA Medical Center Acting Director Alfred Montoya urging the VA to make changes and long-term plans to better accommodate women veterans’ unique health care needs.
This groundbreaking project marks an essential step in realizing that need by expanding the VA’s resources for women veterans in the Granite State, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact this expanded facility will have.
