Kuster: Jeopardizing Veterans’ Access to Healthcare is Disgraceful

Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02), a member of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, is once again highlighting her disappointment in Republican leadership’s decision to include a provision in their legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act  (ACA) that would strip tax credits for healthcare from up to 7 million veterans.

“It’s disgraceful that weeks after the Republican healthcare bill went down in flames they would return with a proposal that continues to throw our men and women who have served in uniform under the bus. It’s unconscionable that Republicans would jeopardize access to healthcare for millions of veterans simply so their bill can clear a procedural hurdle. The revised healthcare bill continues to threaten the healthcare of thousands of Granite Staters and millions of Americans and I urge my colleagues to rethink this misguided approach to improving access to healthcare.”
