Strengthening Bipartisan Cooperation
Our government works best when Republicans and Democrats come together to solve the problems facing our country. I am proud to be among the most bipartisan Members of Congress and to work across the aisle to deliver for New Hampshire. From stopping the scourge of sexual violence to ending the addiction and mental health epidemic to expanding access to long-term care and even protecting our winter sports, I am working to bring my colleagues together to create change.Addressing the scourge of sexual violence. We must do more to end the scourge of sexual violence nationwide. I am proud to co-chair the Bipartisan Task Force to End Sexual Violence to protect children, change campus cultures surrounding sexual violence, address sexual abuse in our armed forces, and ensure survivors have the resources and support they need to recover. Ending the addiction and mental health epidemic. The addiction and mental health crisis touches every community in our country – we must do more to end this epidemic and help save lives. I founded the Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force to increase access to recovery resources, end the stigma surrounding treatment, equip law enforcement officers with the tools they need to hold illicit distributors accountable, and stop the flow of dangerous drugs into our communities. Expanding access to long-term care. After caring for my mom while she lived with Alzheimer’s, I know how important long-term care is to New Hampshire families. When older Americans are able to age in comfort and with dignity, our communities our more vibrant. I founded the Bipartisan 21st Century Long Term Care Caucus to expand access to these resources and work to ensure they are accessible and affordable for every family who needs them. Protecting our winter sports. Winter sports are an important engine for New Hampshire’s economy and an integral part of our culture. As the founder and co-chair of the Bipartisan Ski and Snowboard Caucus, I am working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address climate change, invest in our year-round tourism workforce, and protect the winter sports we know and love. |
