NASHUA, N.H. — For the sixth year in a row, some Granite State students are making sure our veterans are not forgotten this holiday season. Students at New Searles Elementary School in Nashua spent part of their Monday making holiday cards as part of the Holiday Cards for Heroes Drive. U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster will deliver the letters to the Manchester VA Medical Center and the state veterans' home in Tilton. "They get a little isolated sometimes and maybe feel they've been forgotten. And it's really very touching. They love the idea that there are students in New Hampshire who care about them. And it makes them proud of their service," Kuster said. |
