Concord, N.H. — Today, Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) met virtually with the New Hampshire Board of Realtors to share industry and legislative updates and discuss key priorities. During the conversation, the congresswoman and the members talked about increasing NH housing supply, flood insurance reform, addressing fraud, supporting homeownership for veterans, upholding and expanding the Fair Housing Act to include other marginalized members of our communities, easing student debt, and more.

“Bolstering New Hampshire’s housing market is critical to our state’s continued economic success, and I was pleased to join the New Hampshire Board of Realtors today to discuss ongoing efforts to expand access to affordable housing across the Granite State,” said Rep. Kuster. “Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have backed legislation to support the American dream of homeownership and help make mortgages affordable for all New Hampshire families. I look forward to sharing the stories and input from today’s conversation with my colleagues in Washington.”

“The Monadnock Board of Realtors appreciated the opportunity to sit down with Congresswoman Annie Kuster to discuss a few of the many issues at the forefront of Realtors and their clients throughout the region,” David Orgaz, Realtor, National Association of Realtor's Federal Political Coordinator. “Among these priorities were increasing the supply of single and multi-family homes, reforming flood insurance, affordable housing, fraud security with real estate transactions, upholding and expanding the Fair Housing Act to include other marginalized members of our communities, and addressing student debt and young people seeking opportunities out of state after graduation. We appreciate the congresswoman’s extraordinary and continued support of Realtors in New Hampshire.”

Kuster was joined for the discussion by David Orgaz, Federal Political Coordinator, National Association Of Realtors; Bob Quinn, Executive Director, NH Association of Realtors; Adam Gaudet, President, NH Association of Realtors; Kim Mastrianni, Board President, Board of Realtors; Josh Greenwald, Member Liaison, Board of Realtors; and Kristian Hoysradt, Manager, Federal Programs, National Association of Realtors.

Congresswoman Kuster has been a strong supporter of New Hampshire’s real estate market throughout her time in Congress. Kuster supported the American Rescue Plan Act, a comprehensive COVID-19 relief package that provided $27.4 billion in emergency rental assistance.
