Tilton, N.H. — Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) delivered handmade holiday cards to New Hampshire veterans at the Veterans Home in Tilton. Earlier in the day, she picked up the cards from students at Canterbury Elementary School and spoke to the students about the importance of honoring our veterans. This is Kuster’s tenth annual ‘Holiday Cards for Heroes’ celebration.

“Our veterans and their families have sacrificed so much for our country and our communities, it’s an honor to show them thanks for their service, especially around the holidays,” said Kuster. “Thank you to Canterbury Elementary School's wonderful students for helping make thoughtful handmade cards for our veterans. These students are helping spread holiday cheer!”

During her first term in Congress, Kuster created the ‘Holiday Cards for Heroes’ program to express thanks and help show students the importance of honoring our veterans.
