Kuster Honored by New England Connectivity and Telecommunications Association for Work to Expand Broadband Access

Washington, DC — Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) was presented with the ConNEctor Award by the New England Connectivity and Telecommunications Association (NECTA) for her work in Congress to expand access to quality, reliable broadband across New England. NECTA is a nonprofit trade association committed to ensuring households and businesses across the region have access to the technology and services needed to succeed in the 21st-century economy.

“Access to reliable and affordable broadband is necessary to participate fully in the 21st century. From education and workforce opportunities to accessing telehealth care, families and communities increasingly rely on access to the internet,” said Kuster. “I’m honored to be recognized with the ConNEctor award by the New England Connectivity and Telecommunications Association. Together, we’ll keep working to connect more families and businesses across New England with broadband and close the digital divide.”

In Congress, Kuster sits on the Energy and Commerce Communications and Technology Subcommittee and serves as the Co-Chair of the Rural Broadband Caucus. She has championed efforts to expand access to affordable internet and close the digital divide in rural and underserved communities. In the 118th Congress, Kuster was a leading advocate for reauthorizing the Affordable Connectivity Program, which helped more than 17 million Americans and 28,000 New Hampshire residents afford internet services.
